★★★★★4.9 (148 reviews)score 92/100

JP Lucky pairs fast turnaround with finishing work that neighbors notice, and Wendy's coordination keeps clients informed from quote to walkthrough. A high review count paired with a near-perfect rating backs up the consistency, and the crew's habit of adjusting work on the spot for site changes stands out. Post-project callbacks get answered within hours rather than left hanging.

• Projects completed in days, not weeks
• No hidden costs or scope creep reported
• Fast, no-charge response to post-project issues
• Named staff (James, Nic) praised for skill and flexibility

This 37-year operation pairs in-house carpenters, who handle rotting sills, bay window damage, and door restoration, with a painting crew that finishes the job cleanly. Same-day quotes and Brian's personal involvement in every estimate keep the process quick, and 20 recent reviews turned up zero complaints.

• Carpenters on staff for wood repair and replacement, not subcontracted
• Same-day quoting and quick scheduling
• Owner personally involved in estimates and oversight
• Fair pricing relative to workmanship

Watch out: This is a small team working mainly in Midtown and North Toronto, so reach outside those areas may be limited.

Francesco and Giovanni take on custom jobs other contractors pass on, from architectural installations to one-off woodworking, and reviewers point to clean workmanship on tight timelines. The review base is smaller than others on this list, so treat the strong rating as an early, not yet fully proven, signal.

• Handles emergency, same-day projects
• Takes on complex custom builds others have refused
• Named team (Francesco and Giovanni) known for precision
• Repeat clients across Toronto

Watch out: Only 40 reviews on record, so there's less history to judge consistency over time.

Damian and Dax move across framing, drywall, flooring, and electrical safety fixes on the same job, which interior designers and repeat homeowners point to as the reason they call back. Every review on record is five stars, with reviewers specifically noting honesty when problems turn up mid-project.

• One team handles multiple trades on a single project
• Owner personally manages the work
• Flags code violations and safety issues proactively
• Perfect five-star record across 27 reviews

Watch out: A smaller review count than the top names on this list means the sample is still building.

This crew, under the same Home Painters Toronto name as another entry above but a separate operation, moves quickly and reviewers do credit clean job sites and skilled painting. Sentiment is more mixed here than elsewhere on this list, with pricing and follow-through cited as sticking points by some clients.

• Fast execution without sacrificing finish quality
• Experienced named crew (Brian, Nassir, Ata, Ahmad)
• Covers carpentry, caulking, and repairs alongside painting
• Clean worksite noted across many jobs

Watch out: Some clients report pricing above competitors and slow or absent follow-up when deficiencies came up after the job.

Andrew's crew handles metal framing through Level 5 finishing, plus acoustic and fire-rated assemblies, work that high-end builders return to Valcast for repeatedly. All 25 reviews on record are five stars, with reviewers pointing to on-time delivery and budget discipline under Andrew's direct oversight.

• 20+ years in business, WSIB compliant and fully insured
• Zero negative reviews across 25 ratings
• On-site oversight by owner Andrew
• Scope spans framing through Level 5 finishing

Watch out: Review volume is on the lower side and recent review activity has slowed, so newer feedback is limited.
