Best drywall contractors in Toronto

★★★★★5 (106 reviews)score 91/100

Alderson Elite Painting has the strongest, most consistent review record on this list: 106 reviews, all five-star, with named crew members repeatedly praised for meticulous prep and finishing work. Clients highlight owner Jamie's direct involvement and willingness to fix other contractors' mistakes, and the off-site spray booth gives cabinet and woodwork finishes a factory-level result.

• Off-site spray booth for cabinet and woodwork refinishing
• Owner Jamie personally oversees jobs and stands behind the work
• Named crew (Dylan, Richard, Dianne, Shane) consistently praised for care and skill
• Repeat clients citing fair pricing for the quality delivered

Watch out: This is primarily a painting company that also handles drywall and finishing as part of larger interior/exterior jobs, so it's better suited to combined paint-and-wall projects than standalone drywall-only work.

• Emergency and urgent jobs completed same-day or next-day
• Air scrubbers and negative-pressure setups to protect surrounding areas
• Coordinates multiple trades on complex builds
• Transparent, direct communication on pricing and scope

RB Drywall, run by Rafael, has a perfect five-star record across its reviews, with clients repeatedly calling out punctual delivery and accurate quotes that hold. The praise centers specifically on taping and framing quality, plus thorough site cleanup after larger installs.

• Fast turnarounds and quick quotes
• Estimates that match final pricing
• Strong taping quality on large-scale installs
• Thorough cleanup after the job

Watch out: The review base is smaller than the top two picks, so it's worth confirming current availability and getting a written quote before booking.

Toronto Tapers, led by owner Nenef, has 24 reviews and every single one is five-star, with clients praising on-time, on-budget delivery across drywall, framing, and insulation work handled entirely in-house. Communication and jobsite organization come up repeatedly as strengths.

• Perfect five-star rating across 24 reviews
• Drywall, framing, and insulation all handled in-house
• Consistently finishes on or ahead of schedule
• Owner Nenef leads projects directly

Watch out: The recency signal on this listing's reviews is weak, meaning most of the praise may not reflect very recent jobs, so it's worth asking for current references.

Sarson Painting and Wallcoverings brings a different specialty to this list: Venetian plaster and other specialty wall finishes, backed by a small but perfect run of five-star reviews. Clients describe attentive listening to what they want and clean, professional execution on both residential and commercial jobs.

• Venetian plaster and specialty finish expertise
• Consistently meets stated timelines

Watch out: Only a handful of reviews are on record and they skew older, so treat this as a promising small-sample signal rather than a deep track record.

Toronto Dry Wall Taping is listed and categorized specifically around drywall taping work, but it currently has no Google reviews to draw on, so there's no independent read on quality yet. It's included here as a named specialist worth a direct inquiry rather than a proven top performer.

• Positioned specifically as a drywall taping specialist by name and category
• Directory profile is fully filled out with service details
• No negative feedback on record

Watch out: Zero reviews on file means there's no track record to check yet, so get references and a written quote before committing.

Equity Wall Systems is categorized as a wall systems specialist but, like the previous listing, has no reviews yet to confirm real-world performance. It's worth a direct conversation to gauge fit, but shouldn't be treated as a verified top pick.

• Positioned specifically around wall systems work
• Directory profile is fully filled out with service details
• No negative feedback on record

Watch out: Zero reviews on file means there's no independent way to judge quality yet, so confirm scope and pricing directly before hiring.

Verve has the lowest composite score on this list, and the underlying data shows a real mismatch: its own website advertises marketing and branding services based in New York, not drywall, flooring, or tile work in Toronto. With no reviews on file to check either way, this listing needs direct confirmation before it's treated as a genuine local drywall option.

• Listed under drywall, flooring, and tile categories in the directory
• Directory profile is fully completed with contact details
• No customer complaints about workmanship on file

Watch out: The business's own website points to marketing/branding services in New York rather than drywall work in Toronto, so confirm directly what they actually do and where before reaching out.
